It's both a highly versatile and customizable DAW as well as a very easy-to use audio editer. I can't speak to Mac Accessibility, but on Windows, Reaper is a beautiful thing. That would kill project metadata and undo history and such, Destructive editing means that the editor edits the data of the original audio file, as opposed to just editing its playback parameters and finalising the edits when rendering. Regarding import, I suppose you could export the tracks out of your preferred audio editor, and the people you work with could reimport them. It seems that the new versions aren't accessible, and even though the old, accessible one is available, this is a dealbreaker for me. I'd heard of landr for AI-based mastering, but never used it.
I also hadn't considered your point about Amadeus Pro being a destructive editor, I'll definitely take that into Kennett Very cool. I just find Logic unwieldy for granular audio editing, though that could very well be me missing something.
If Reaper will allow me to do great audio editing, I have no problems with it also being a DAW. Thanks a lot for the I hadn't thought of Reaper.
